Congress: System

”We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”
-Abraham Lincoln-

Abraham Lincoln is president in U.S. Lincoln as the first president from Republican. Lincoln is not only president but he is a lawyer, member of the Illinois legislature, and members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Lincoln built the Republican PartyParty into a strong national organization. Lincoln never let the world forget that the Civil War involved an even larger issue.

Lincoln argue that the authorities (government) are legitimate acts of Congress and the courts not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who violated the constitution. He emphasized on the functions of the government and the constitution’s functions. That is the government was supposed to protect the people’s right, one of them through the constitution or legal assistance. That is the one of their duties to do, because that does not misunderstand the meaning of rights and freedom, but it’s limited by the rights and freedom of others. That is why the constitution was made. So, the government must be firm in upholding the constitution in force in the country. The core functions of government and constitution are related. Government makes the constitution to protect the people, not to be violated or abused for the power. Meanwhile for the constitution was made, other than to protect the people should include rules to order the system, including the rules and the regulations of government authority itself.

We as the Indonesian, in another case must to imitate the constitution from U.S. maybe in Indonesia, it does not really care about the constitution to people who live in Indonesia, but I do not know why, I think that the constitution in Indonesia is not really firm in upholding the constitution. I believe that the constitution in Indonesia could be better than before if the constitution in Indonesia were noticed and improved.
